Physical Summary:
The Willis Hill Property where the stream study was conducted is located northeast of Rt 2 about 3/4 mile east on Rt 2 from exit 11 of I 89. The property is bounded on the northeast by I-89, the southwest by Route 2. Camels Hump Middle school adjoins the property up a hillside to the east from the stream.
The stream runs through old farm land. There is significant tree cover along the stream along with small brush on the banks providing good buffer. There are also some wetlands that adjoin the stream in the southern part of the property. The water flow is slow and at this time of year had low volume. Water was clear and free from odors. There was silt in most parts of the stream resulting in approximately 50% imbededness. This varied along the stream with a few pools with more sand and riffles in some shallower sections.
