Site Description:
Shallow stream, does not extend all the way to the edge of the bank. A few large boulders, lots of small rocks, logs lying horizontally in the water, trees on the bank.

Physical Summary:
Stream includes trees that have fallen into river, undercut banks, and cobble or larger rocks. 25% embedded; rocks are relatively easy to move. 5 to 30% of riverbed affected by new deposition. The velocity is slow and shallow but it picks up speeds in certain areas. The occurrence of riffles were common. Water fills 25-75% of the channel, does not extend to edge of bank. The bank is moderately stable, 20-30% eroded or collapsed. 50-70% of the bank is covered by natural vegetation. The riparian zone width was between 6 and 12 meters which indicated much human impact.
